Go Pack!

I have so many memories growing up of my father watching football. Not just any football though, PACKERS football. My dad probably owns every kind of Green Bay Packers gear you could think of. He has sweatshirts, pictures, posters, an Aaron Rodgers autographed helmet (my gift to him which I am still proud of) and even Christmas tree ornaments. My sister bought him a Packers Snuggie for his birthday this last year. There is no bigger Packers fan than my father.

I was never that interested in football until I moved out of my parents house and started college. I started watching the Green Bay games so that I could talk about them with my dad. Once I started dating Josh and he taught me all the rules, I actually started enjoying the games. Now, I consider myself a pretty big Packers fan.

In case you don’t know, the Packers play the Bears on Sunday and whoever wins goes to the Super Bowl. I am probably going to be watching TV during the game but I can’t promise I will watch the entire game. I get so anxious and nervous that I tend to watch something else and just switch to the game periodically.

This may sound really dumb but I want them to win so my dad can have some joy in his life. After losing both of his parents in one year, he has been struggling. I want to call him after the game and hear the excitement in his voice. He deserves some good news.

P.S. Can I just add that Aaron Rodgers is a total fox? Do people still use the word fox to describe an attractive person?
